The outbreak of cases that has occurred in the last two days in Cyprus has caused intense concern, with the result that you are convening an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers today.
The Minister of Health is expected to meet earlier with the Scientific Advisory Committee, where the Experts will submit their suggestions for action.
The suggestions that are expected to be submitted are reduction of people in family gatherings, increase of telework up to 50%, use of double mask and reduction of attendees in entertainment centers and events (it is not excluded to take even stricter measures).

While initially the Minister of Health would make announcements after the end of the meeting, any announcements will be made after the completion of the Council of Ministers which will meet at 18:00 this afternoon.
