The Police in Paphos proceeded to the arrest of a 32-year-old man in order to facilitate investigations for an investigated case of burglary and theft.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations Michalis Nikolaou, on July 5th an employee of the Cyprus Electricity Authority reported that between an unknown date and July 5th a copper cable distribution panel valued at 5.260 euros had been stolen from a station in the Konio area.
From on-site examinations, Mr. Nikolaou, it was found that a side window of the substation had been broken, as a result of which the perpetrators managed to enter it and remove the copper panel.
Further tests led to evidence against a 32-year-old man, who was arrested at 20pm on Wednesday and taken into custody.
