The 36-year-old man, who was arrested this morning during the continuation of the parents' protest, outside the provincial office of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, in Limassol, is expected to be charged in writing and released.

According to the Police, during the protest of parents who react to the new restrictive measures in the primary schools, the 36-year-old stopped the traffic on Franklin Roosevelt Avenue.

When he was advised by members of the Police and asked to leave the street, the 36-year-old allegedly threatened an officer and attacked him.

He was eventually arrested for the spontaneous offenses of obstructing a police officer in the performance of his duty, causing concern, assault and threat, and for offenses under the Disinfection Law.

He was taken to the Agios Ioannis police station, where he was expected to be charged and released.
