The Police proceeded with the arrest of 38 persons of various nationalities, who, as has been established, remain illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, through a coordinated nationwide police control operation.
A statement from the Police Communications Branch states that members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, YAM, as well as members of the Green Line Surveillance and Countermeasures of Migrant Flows Sub-Directorate participated in the operation, which took place on Sunday.
The efforts of the Police to identify and repatriate persons residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus continue daily, it is reported.
