As part of the intensive patrols carried out for fire prevention purposes in the wider Limassol area, members of the Police yesterday arrested four people for various offenses.
Specifically, in two separate cases, members of the Police stopped a total of three vehicles for inspection.
In the first case, two vehicles were stopped in the same area. During the checks, a small amount of narcotics was found in the possession of the two drivers, resulting in their arrest for flagrante delicto. Further examinations that followed revealed that a weapon, possibly an air rifle, was found in the home of one of the arrested, for which he did not possess any license or relevant documents.
In the second case, during the stop of a third vehicle, various burglary tools were found inside the vehicle, resulting in the arrest of the two occupants.
The two drivers in whom the drugs were found were charged in writing and released, while the two other individuals are expected to appear before Court today for the issuance of a detention order.
