A meeting at the Presidential Palace, with the topic of discussion on fires and floods and the participation of all involved services, will be presided over today at 10:00 am. the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis.
The purpose is to make decisions for the implementation of measures to prevent and deal with fires and floods.
The meeting will be attended by the Ministers of Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, Justice, Anna Prokopiou Koukkidou, Agriculture, Petros Xenophontos and Defense, Michalis Giorgallas.
The Special Adviser of the PtD for Crisis Management and Civil Protection Issues, George Boustras, will also be present at the meeting.
Directly involved services are the Forestry Department, the Fire Service, while the Police, Civil Defense and the National Guard play an important role.
