Police investigations are focused on the causes that caused the fire and the circumstances of the 63-year-old man's death in the fire that broke out on Sunday, November 3 at a polystyrene production factory in Aradippou industrial area in Dromolaxia, said the officer of the Police Communication Branch, Marina Christodoulidou, on Friday.
Mrs. Christodoulidou stated that the Police investigation into the incident has begun, adding that "Police investigations are focused on the causes that caused the fire and the circumstances of the death of the specific person, in order to establish whether any criminal offenses arise".
He noted that statements are being taken from various persons and actions are being taken to secure witness material in the context of the investigation.
He also said that examinations were carried out in the specific building, both by the Police, as well as by the Fire Service, the Department of Labor Inspection and the Electromechanical Service.
He also said that various items of evidence were omitted from the scene, which will be evaluated.
