The Cyprus Post contact you to inform you of significant changes under international conventions regarding mailing abroad from 1 January 2021.
- From this date, the electronic preparation of the consignment note and the transmission of consignment data (customs declaration) by the sender himself becomes mandatory.
- This obligation applies to all items containing goods to countries outside the European Union as well as the EPG, EMS Datapost and Parcel Services, regardless of destination and content
- In order to be able to prepare the electronic Delivery Note and the transmission of the electronic customs declaration, the Cyprus Post has prepared the application Shipping Tool, which is available from our website https://www.cypruspost.post/el/shipping-tool, where there is detailed information.
- Before submitting any item that falls into the above categories, the Shipper Certificate / Customs Declaration must be prepared in advance by the shippers through the Shipping Tool application, following the instructions listed on the relevant page.
Please prepare the Delivery Notes from your home or office, before you go to the Post Office. You do not need to print anything in advance, just note the reference number that the application will give you Shipping Tool, on the object.
Please note that Postmen at Post Offices are prohibited from completing any Shipping Form on behalf of customers.
We ask for your cooperation so that the processing of items at the Post Offices is done properly and quickly to avoid your stay in them for a long time, in the difficult conditions created by the pandemic.
