In a fatal road collision that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Paphos district, Giorgos Hadjiioannou, aged 16, formerly from Agia Marina Chrysochous, lost his life.
The road collision occurred at around 3.25pm, on Archbishop Makarios III Street in Argaka, heading towards Griva Digeni Avenue. Under circumstances that are being investigated, the 16-year-old, riding a racing motorcycle, lost control of it, resulting in it initially hitting the pavement, then a pole of the Cyprus Electricity Authority and coming to rest on the road.
The 16-year-old was taken to Polis Chrysochous Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Paphos Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Polis Chrysochous Police Station, are continuing their investigations.
