Infant death in Limassol: The 37-year-old father before a Criminal Court
The father admitted to the Police that he grabbed the child and then hit him, while from that moment the child lost consciousness.
The 37-year-old father is being brought before the Permanent Criminal Court, which is meeting in Limassol, for the murder of the infant who died at Makareio Hospital on March 5, due to a severe head injury.
The father admitted to the Police that when he returned from work, he was tired and the baby was crying incessantly.
As he mentioned, he grabbed the child and then hit him, while from that moment the child lost consciousness. It is recalled that the case was overturned by the legal autopsy, which was performed on the body of the infant by the head of the forensic service, Angeliki Papetta and the medical orthodox Orthodox.
The baby had been transported by his parents to the hospital in Limassol, while due to the seriousness of the condition, he was transported to Makareio, where he succumbed a few hours later.
The 22-year-old mother is expected to be released.
