A 25-year-old man was arrested for flagrant offenses, after being spotted by members of the Police illegally staying inside a residence in Limassol, following information about a house burglary.

Specifically, at around 5.45 pm yesterday, information was received at the Limassol Police Station regarding a burglary of a residence in Limassol, with the information stating that the perpetrator was inside the house.

This was preceded by a complaint filed yesterday morning with the Limassol Police Station by the owner of the house, also for a burglary of his residence, which occurred between December 08 and 15, during which a television was stolen.

Members of the Limassol Police Department rushed to the area, where they located the 25-year-old inside the residence, while examinations carried out at the scene revealed that the residence had been broken into.

The 25-year-old suspect was arrested by the Police for flagrant offenses. In a backpack he was in possession of, a laptop computer, three chargers, a powerbank, a set of keys, as well as two flashlights and two screwdrivers were found.

Subsequent examinations revealed that the laptop found in the possession of the 25-year-old suspect had been stolen from a medical practice in Limassol, following a burglary. The burglary was reported to the Limassol Police Station last Friday, December 12.

An arrest warrant was issued against the 25-year-old, pursuant to which he was arrested and taken into custody, for the purposes of investigating the cases of burglary and theft.

TAE Limassol continues the examinations.
