In the early hours of the morning, the Police proceeded with the spontaneous arrest of a 23-year-old man, to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of illegal possession of property. The 23-year-old was spotted, by a member of the Police, trying to break the doors of parked vehicles.
Specifically, around 1.15am. today, a member of the Police, who was off duty, found in an open area in Nicosia, a person who was trying to break into the doors of parked vehicles, using various keys. Before the officer could approach the suspect, he managed to open the door of a car and began searching inside it.
The policeman stopped the suspect and then, as it was established, he is a 23-year-old man. A pair of sunglasses and two lighters, which the 23-year-old reportedly stated did not belong to him, were found and confiscated in his possession.
The 23-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted offense of illegal possession of property and was taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
The Omorfita Police Station is investigating the case.
