Members of the Larnaca Police Department searched the vehicle and home of a 21-year-old man in Larnaca yesterday, pursuant to a court warrant.
Upon the arrival of the members of the YKAN outside the 21-year-old's home, they stopped a 49-year-old woman for a check, who was trying to enter the 21-year-old's vehicle. During the subsequent search of the vehicle in the presence of the 49-year-old, a woman's bag was located and confiscated, inside which there were 19 nylon bags containing a white powder resembling cocaine with a gross weight of 7 grams, cannabis resin with a gross weight of 7 grams and cannabis plant matter with a gross weight of 4 grams.
During the search that followed at the 21-year-old's home in his presence, a quantity of cannabis weighing 11 grams, a precision scale, a firework, a flare, 5 firecrackers and a spray for evacuating harmful gases were found in the living room of the home. Furthermore, during the search of the home, 3 smoked cigarettes containing cannabis, 9 grinders with traces of cannabis, an iron fist and the amount of 3.270 euros were found.
Both the 21-year-old and the 49-year-old were arrested for flagrant offenses and taken into custody to facilitate the examinations.
