The Nicosia Police Headquarters in collaboration with the British Akrotiri Base Police conducted a coordinated operation in the village of Trachoni in Limassol on 03/12/2025, which operation led to the arrest of a Cypriot man and the identification of significant quantities of drugs.
Officers located and seized approximately 23 kilograms of cannabis, 250 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, and 26 grams of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. Two vehicles were also seized and placed under investigation.
As stated by the Deputy Police Director of the BB Police, Melina Papagrigoriou, “The operation is another blow against organized criminal networks that attempt to channel dangerous drugs into local communities.” The arrested person is expected to appear in court again on Monday, December 8, as the investigation continues.
