Tragedy struck after a fire broke out in a house in Pervolia, Larnaca.
According to the Police, it was around 12:30 when a fire broke out in a house in Pervolia, which was noticed by neighbors. They immediately broke into the entrance of the house where they found the 79-year-old resident unconscious on her face in the hallway.
An ambulance was called to the scene where rescuers determined that she was dead. The unfortunate woman had no wounds or burns on her body.
The fire that broke out in the bedroom was extinguished by the fire department without spreading to the rest of the house.
The circumstances of her death are being investigated by the Kitio Police Station.
