Tragedy on the asphalt: 30-year-old Euthychios died after a traffic accident

In a new fatal road collision that occurred at around 7.40 yesterday afternoon on the main road of Kalos Chorio - Limassol, the unfortunate Eutychios Charitou, 30 years old from Limassol, lost his life.

Specifically, while the 30-year-old was riding his motorcycle on the road above, under circumstances that are being investigated by the Police, he collided head-on with a car moving in the opposite direction, with a 44-year-old woman as the driver and a 53-year-old passenger. At about the same time, a car driven by a 33-year-old man with a 31-year-old passenger as a passenger collided with the back of the 44-year-old's vehicle.

From the initial collision, which appears to have been violent, the 30-year-old motorcyclist, who was reportedly wearing a protective helmet and full motorcycle outfit, was seriously injured. He was taken by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital where the doctors on duty certified his death.

The two women were taken to a private clinic in Limassol where they were given first aid and discharged. The occupants of the second vehicle were not injured.

The drivers of the two cars were subjected to breathalyzer tests, with the indication for the 44-year-old being 5μg instead of 22, which is the maximum legal limit, while for the 33-year-old, the indication was zero.

The Limassol Traffic Police continues the examinations.
