In the context of the prevention of road collisions, the suppression of the phenomenon of nuisance and the consolidation of the feeling of road safety, motorcyclists of the Limassol Traffic Police, performed between the hours of 5 p.m. yesterday - 4 p.m. Today, traffic controls in various areas of Limassol, with emphasis on the coastal front of the city, main roads, but also places where in the past there were deadly road collisions and nuisance.
During the traffic checks, 10 large-capacity motorcycles were confiscated, while a total of 46 complaints were made for various traffic offenses.

Also in Limassol, during the campaign carried out in the framework of the weekly campaign of Roadpol for trucks and buses, in collaboration with the British Base Police, the TOM and the Department of Customs and Mechanical Control, an extraordinary mechanical inspection was carried out on a private vehicle. which as it was found had defective braking brakes, while on the same day it had passed a technical inspection in a private workshop and a certificate of suitability was issued. Therefore, following this development, the certificate of suitability was revoked and the vehicle registration was suspended pending a re-inspection. At the same time, the TOM, due to its competence, will examine any measures in relation to the workshop.

In addition, the Police, in collaboration with TOM, canceled four more certificates of suitability and suspended the licenses of four vehicles, until the respective vehicles were re-inspected.

Targeted traffic controls continue daily throughout the twenty-four hour period, throughout the road network throughout Cyprus.
