In the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Wednesday until 06.00 today), 2.570 inspections were carried out by the Police throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance of the measures and the implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection Cleaning. As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, during the inspections, 32 complaints of citizens and 4 people in charge of premises emerged.

Regarding the inspections by province, in Nicosia 793 inspections were carried out, out of which 7 complaints of citizens and three premises emerged, in Limassol 340 inspections were carried out, out of which 9 complaints of citizens and one establishment resulted, in Larnaca 514 inspections were carried out, of which There were 5 complaints from citizens, 125 inspections were carried out in Paphos, out of which 1 citizen complaint was reported, in Famagusta 476 inspections were carried out, out of which 10 citizen complaints were filed, in the Morfos area 84 inspections were carried out, without any complaints.

Also, the Pancyprian Traffic Police carried out 179 inspections, without any complaints.

Of the 2.570 inspections, 59 concerned ports, from which no complaints emerged. In addition, no violations occurred at the two airports.

Answering a question, the representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters said that the majority of the complaints to citizens concerned the non-use of a protective mask.

Regarding the premises, as he mentioned, in the province of Nicosia it concerned a supermarket, where an inspection showed that she was responsible without a safe pass and € 4.000 was imposed out of court, a restaurant, where an inspection showed that an employee was without a safe pass and € 1.000 out of court was imposed and a brewery, where an inspection showed that the person in charge of the premises did not carry out a safe pass for having a safe pass by the customers and a € 1.500 out-of-court settlement was imposed, in Limassol province it was a cafe. .
