British Airways passengers at Heathrow Airport were met with an unpleasant surprise as they waited for their luggage after a flight from Cyprus.
According to the DailyMail, at least 100 boxes of seafood were spinning on the luggage lane, confusing passengers waiting for their luggage.
Becca Braunholtz, who was on the flight, told the BBC that it was the strangest thing to see boxes of seafood instead of your luggage.
Some passengers were "outraged", saying that "we thought our luggage was in the second wave of deliveries, but it was a continuous wave of fish boxes".
Braunholtz said there were at least 100 boxes of frozen fish, all with stickers for JFK Airport in the US.
When he spoke to British Airways staff about the situation, they were "confused" and did not know how it happened.
The passengers were finally assured that they would receive compensation and returned home empty-handed.
The British Airways then contacted the passengers and informed them that the luggage would be returned later. They also apologized, explaining that most passengers had received their luggage properly.
