The weather in detail
Today the weather will be partly cloudy and in the afternoon it is possible that individual rains will fall, mainly in the west and north, while in the higher peaks of Troodos it is possible for snow or sleet to fall. The winds will blow northeast to southeast, weak 3 and temporarily on the east and south coasts, up to moderate 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 19 degrees inland and on the coast and to 9 degrees in the higher mountains.
In the evening the weather will gradually become mostly cloudy and isolated rains or thunderstorms are expected. It is likely to snow in the highest peaks of Troodos. The winds will blow mainly northeast to southeast, weak 3 beauforts and temporarily in the wind, up to moderate 4 beauforts. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to 7 degrees inland, around 11 on the coast and to 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will form locally.
On Thursday and Friday the weather will be mostly cloudy and from time to time local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected. It will snow at the highest peaks of Troodos or locally in the higher mountains at times. From Friday night, the effects are expected to weaken.
On Saturday the weather will be mostly clear but temporarily there will be increased clouds.
The temperature will fluctuate at the same levels on Thursday and Friday, which are close to the climatic averages. A small increase is expected for Saturday.
