The weather scene in Cyprus is changing as rain, storms and strong winds are expected today, according to the meteorological department.

Today the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains and isolated storms are expected at intervals. Hail is also possible in the areas of the storms. Winds will blow mainly southwest, moderate 4 and locally to strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to rough. The temperature will rise to 21 degrees in the interior and the coasts and to 11 degrees in the higher mountains.
In the evening the weather will be locally mainly cloudy with isolated rains, while initially isolated storms are not excluded.
