During the last 171 hours, the Police proceeded with 24 complaints of citizens and eight owners of premises for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In his statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Sunday morning until 6.00 am today, 13.032 checks were carried out.
In terms of provincial inspections, 2.191 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, resulting in 40 complaints from citizens and 3 premises, while in Limassol, 3.400 inspections were carried out with 48 complaints from citizens.
In Larnaca 1.504 inspections were carried out with 21 complaints of citizens, in Paphos 1.588 inspections were carried out with 20 complaints of citizens and 5 premises, in Famagusta 1.337 inspections were carried out with 21 complaints of citizens and in the Morfos area 2.116 inspections were carried out without any complaint.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 697 inspections, out of which 21 complaints were made by citizens, while the Port and Maritime Police carried out 120 inspections, without any complaint. MMAD conducted 79 audits without complaints.
