New restrictions have been set regarding the time given to the citizen and the characters that will receive the SMS. Trafficking will be valid for a reasonable period of time depending on the category.
According to an announcement by the Deputy Minister of Innovation, Kyriakos Kokkinos, in relation to the possibility of the SMS service at 8998 for Exceptional Approval of Citizens' Transportation Permits, the system was put into operation again from 7.30 pm last night.

The Sender sends a message to 8998 with the following structure:
X blank no. ID or no. Blank passport passport postal code
As follows:
X must be a unique number from 1 to 8
No. Identity card or Passport must be letters and numbers and not special characters up to 10 characters.
Home Postal Code must be 4 numbers.
Where X is the purpose of travel with the number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) corresponding to the reason of movement of each citizen, as described below:
Go to a pharmacy or for a blood donation or visit a doctor.
Go to a store to buy or supply essential goods / services.
Go to a bank, to the extent that electronic transaction is not possible.
Absolutely necessary visits to Government Services or Services of the wider public sector and the Local Government.
Trafficking for assistance to people who are unable to self-serve or who have to protect themselves or are in self-restraint and / or in places of compulsory confinement (quarantine).
Movement for physical exercise or for the needs of a pet, as long as they do not exceed two people and are limited to areas adjacent to their home.
Going to a ceremony (eg funeral, wedding, baptism) by first and second degree relatives not exceeding 10 people
Declaration of any other purpose of movement that may be justified on the basis of traffic prohibition measures.
Please note that after the SMS is sent, a response will be received for approval of the request, and the handling will be valid for a reasonable period of time depending on the handling category for which the approval was granted.
