The search for the 35-year-old tourist, who has been missing since Tuesday, resumed this morning, after three days of searching for him, including last night, were unsuccessful. The search yesterday extended from Cape Arnaoutis to Pomos, on land and at sea.
According to the Police, the 35-year-old Pole, who had arrived in Cyprus on April 14 for vacation, had rented an inflatable boat with an outboard motor on Tuesday to tour the sea area of Polis Chrysochous.
At 16:30 of the same day, the inflatable boat was spotted by citizens sailing unruly in the sea area of Argaka, near the Limni area, and at a distance of approximately 200 meters from the coast.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Center immediately began searching for the 35-year-old, but so far without any results.
The operation continues today, Friday, with the participation of a helicopter and unmanned aircraft of the National Guard, a helicopter and foot patrols of the Police, watercraft of the Port and Maritime Police, as well as a team of Unmanned Helicopter Aircraft and Civil Defense volunteers.
