It was reported yesterday afternoon to the Police by a resident of Nicosia that, while she was in a restaurant in Nicosia, her wallet was stolen, which contained the amount of € 200.
As part of the investigation, four people were arrested for theft and illegal possession of property. According to a police statement, in the context of the investigation of the case, three women aged 29, 28 and 22 and a 22-year-old man were considered suspects, who were located and stopped for inspection in Eleftherias Square a little later.
The above persons were taken to the offices of the Central Police Station of Nicosia where in a subsequent investigation, the 22-year-old was found in the amount of € 300, the 29-year-old was found in the amount of € 500, while the 22-year-old was found in possession of the amount of € 2.670. of € XNUMX. The above persons were not able to give satisfactory explanations regarding the origin of these sums of money.
In view of the above, the four were arrested on court orders and placed in custody while the Nicosia Central Police Station continues its investigations.
