Both the arrivals and the revenues demonstrate the truth of the statement, while the figures issued yesterday by Eurostat are considered particularly encouraging.

Characteristically, Mr. Kelepesis noted that both arrivals and departures have increased, which explains the overall increase in flights. However, especially the increase in arrivals, shows that our tourism has returned for good and is now reaching the numbers of 2019.

The Honorary President of the Association of Travel Agents pointed out that the increase in flights certainly contributed to the increase in itineraries from various destinations. As he said, this demonstrates the trust that airlines and tour operators now show in the Cypriot market.

Returning to the Eurostat figures, it is pointed out that in the comparison of this September with last year, the increase amounts to 22,1% from 7.310 flights to 8.924. In the case of Cyprus, a significant increase was recorded in the summer months compared to 2022: June (21,0%), July (23,8%) and August (22,6%). Also, a small increase was recorded compared to 2019: June (0,4%), July (6,1%) and August (6,8%).
