The Consumer Protection Service announces the issuance of an administrative decision and the imposition of an administrative fine of € 50.000, against the company Love Island Travel & Tours Ltd for violation of the Law on Organized Travel and Connected Travel Arrangements.
Following an investigation by the Consumer Protection Service, the following violations of the Law were found by the company, which acts as an organizer of organized trips:
i. Violation of article 16 of the Law as in the period January - June 2020 it was found that the company did not provide effective protection against insolvency and
ii. violation of article 26 of the Law as, during the investigation, the company did not provide to the Authorized Service, within a regular deadline, documents and information that had been requested and related to specific contracts of organized travel.
