Υπ. Health: Invites citizens to take self-diagnosis tests for COVID-19

Who are the eligible citizens and what are the collection points in each province

Beneficiary citizens can take the self - diagnosis tests for COVID-19 (self-test) from the pharmacies contracted with GESS, the Ministry of Health states in an announcement.

According to an announcement, beneficiaries are those citizens who have completed their vaccination program with two doses for dual-dose vaccines and one dose for single-dose vaccine or received the booster / 3rd dose of vaccine and are also beneficiaries of GESS, as well as children up to 17 years who have received at least one vaccine dose and the period required to take the 2nd dose has not elapsed.

Beneficiaries of GESS can receive the self-tests, from the pharmacies contracted with GESS, by presenting proof of identification.

The package includes five self-tests and citizens will have the opportunity to voluntarily take the test to see if they are positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

In case of a positive result, the citizens should contact their Personal Doctor, in order to refer them for PCR examination to the Public Health Clinics of their province of residence.

It is noted that citizens who are not beneficiaries of GESS, but have completed their vaccination scheme in Cyprus, or have completed their vaccination program in another European country and are beneficiaries of GESS, can receive the package containing the five self-tests from the following points:

In Nicosia, daily from 10:30 am to 13:00 pm at the Old Hospital of Nicosia, Nehrou Avenue, Agios Andreas, T.T. 1102, Nicosia

In Limassol, daily from 12 pm to 13:00 pm at the Maternity Center, Old Hospital of Limassol, Leontiou A '188, T.T. 3022, Limassol

In Larnaca, daily from 10:30 am to 13:00 pm at the Maternity Center, Old Larnaca Hospital, 40 Grigori Afxentiou Avenue, Larnaca, 6021

In Paphos, daily from 10:30 am to 13:00 pm at the Maternity Center, Paphos General Hospital, Ahepans 8026, PO Box 8100, Paphos

In Famagusta, daily from 10:30 am to 13:00 pm at the Maternity Center, Famagusta Health Center, 25 Christou Kkeli, T.T. 5310, Paralimni

In case of a positive result, citizens should contact the Coordination Center of Public Health Clinics at the email: coordination.iatreiadygeias@moh.gov.cy sending their identification details (name, surname, telephone, ID number, date of birth and province) , as well as a photo of their positive self-test.
