Announcement regarding the administration of the 4th dose of the vaccine against COVID19, issued by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry lists all the information about the beneficiaries of the 4th installment and the vaccination centers where they can be contacted.

The Ministry of Health reminds that the booster / 4th dose of vaccine is given:

• to persons over 60 years of age (presenting identity card or passport and vaccination card),
• to persons of any age residing or working in nursing homes and closed structures (presenting an identity card or passport and the vaccination card),
• to health professionals regardless of age (presenting identity card or passport, vaccination card and license to practice),
• in * immunodeficient and * immunosuppressed patients regardless of age,
• in people with Diabetes,
• in people with severe obesity: BMI ≥40 or ≥35 with metabolic syndrome,
meaning that the period of five (5) months from the receipt of the booster / 3rd installment has passed. Taking the booster / 4th dose is optional.

* Immunosuppressed patients:

• In active treatment for solid tumors and hematological malignancies
• With a history of solid organ transplantation receiving immunosuppressive therapy
• With a history of primary hematopoietic organ transplantation receiving immunosuppressive therapy
• People with inherited immunodeficiency
• People with HIV / AIDS
• People on immunosuppressive therapy including biological agents
• Regarding cortisone, it refers to people who have received or are receiving a total dose of 10 mg prednisone / day (= 8 mg methylprednisolone) for one (1) month in the last six months.
• With renal insufficiency undergoing dialysis or peritoneal dialysis.

Immunodeficient and immunosuppressed patients can come to the vaccination centers for free access (walk in) by presenting a medical certificate from a specialist (identity card or passport, vaccination card) or may express an interest in making an appointment for an immunization address: 4dose@moh.gov.cy
