The "Greece-Cyprus-Jordan Joint Action Plan" for 2023 was signed yesterday, Tuesday, May 30, in Nicosia by the director of the Directorate of International Relations of the Greek Army, Brigadier General Vasilios Tsami, the director of the Armored and Infantry Directorates of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Khalil Suleiman Abed Rabbo Talas and the director of the XNUMXth Branch of the General Staff of the Cyprus National Guard, colonel (PB) Alcibiades Alcibiades.

As announced today by the Greek Defense Ministry, the Plan is part of the wider planning of the Greek Defense Ministry regarding the international cooperation of the Armed Forces and within the framework of actions agreed upon during the talks held by the head of the Greek Defense Ministry, General Konstantinos Floros, with his counterpart, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, during his official visit to Jordan and his presence at the 13th Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX-22) on October 31 and November 1, 2022.

This is the first Joint Action Plan signed in this tripartite format.

Among other things, the Plan includes:

– Joint training of Special Forces-Special Operations Forces.

– Cooperation in operational Electronic Warfare activities.

– Staff meetings and talks on firefighting, air transport and matters of mutual interest.

With the signing of the Action Plan, as added to the announcement, the already close military cooperation between the Armed Forces of the three countries is further deepened in the context of their defense coordination and the joint effort to face common challenges is strengthened in order to promote peace, security and stability in the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.
