A detention order for a period of eight days was issued by the Limassol district court against two persons, who were arrested early on Tuesday when they were spotted riding in a stolen car.
The vehicle was stopped by members of the OPE Limassol and as it was established, the driver of the vehicle was 19 years old, with a 32 year old passenger. The 19-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of receiving theft, while in a subsequent investigation, various burglary tools were found in the possession of the 32-year-old, as a result of which he was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of possession of burglary tools.
The 19-year-old indicated to the members of the Police two places in areas of Limassol, where two vehicles were located, which had been reported as stolen at the TAE Limassol on August 21 and 22, 2022, while he allegedly admitted the theft of another vehicle, which was spotted yesterday Monday.
In the morning the two suspects were brought to court, which approved the request of the police authorities for their 8-day personal detention.
