The Larnaca District Court today issued a six-day detention order for the 46-year-old tourist from the United Kingdom who was arrested in connection with the fatal traffic accident that occurred last night in Oroklini, in which Petros Christodoulou, 57, lost his life.
According to the Police, at around 10.20 on Tuesday evening, the motorcycle driven by the 57-year-old, on a road in Oroklini, under circumstances that are being investigated, collided with a car driven by a 46-year-old man.
"Members of the Police rushed to the scene for examinations, while an ambulance crew transported the 57-year-old to Larnaca General Hospital, where at around 23:15 he succumbed to his injuries."
The 46-year-old "was arrested pursuant to a court warrant and taken into custody for the purposes of police examinations."
Larnaca Traffic Police is investigating the causes of the fatal road collision.
