A 31-year-old man was detained for illegal stay in the territory of the Republic.
According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, at 10:30 on Wednesday morning, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service arrested a 31-year-old man at the Paphos District Court for the crime of staying illegally in the Republic.
According to police records, the 31-year-old allegedly arrived in the Republic on February 12, 2021 via Larnaca airport, and was granted a student permit to attend a college in Nicosia until July 31, 2021.
Since then, the 31-year-old has allegedly not renewed his residence and study permit and was residing illegally in the territory of the Republic.
The above was taken into custody at the Paphos Central Police Station. Procedures for his deportation also began.
