The Paphos District Court issued a two-day detention order against a 33-year-old man for impersonation, another person was arrested and detained for impersonation at Paphos airport and two minors, who tried to travel with forged travel documents, were detected during passport control.
According to the Press Spokesperson of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, on two occasions, two persons presented themselves at Paphos airport in possession of travel documents, which belonged to other persons in an attempt to travel to Europe. One of them, 33 years old from Congo, was arrested and on Sunday he appeared before the Paphos District Court which issued a two-day detention order against him.
Another person was arrested and detained for impersonation at Paphos airport, while also two other minors who presented themselves on Friday at Paphos airport with travel documents, which are said to be fake after being specially handled due to their age, were then transferred to a closed structure.
All four cases are being investigated by the Paphos TAE.
