A forest fire in Pegeia was brought under complete control.
According to an announcement by the Forestry Department, today Monday at 09:40 a fire broke out in the location "Aspromutallos" in the community of Pegeia, in the district of Paphos.
The fire was reported to be under full control at 10:30 a.m. after burning an area of 1 hectare consisting of wild vegetation.
7 people from the Forest Department with 1 fire engine participated in the extinguishing operation. The operations of the Forestry Department were assisted by the Fire Service with 4 people and 2 fire trucks, it added.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
