The fire that broke out today at 14:00 near the new cemetery of Tremithousa community in Paphos District was brought under complete control at 12:50 p.m.
As stated in an announcement by the Department of Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, the fire burned an area of 7 decares with bushy wild vegetation, dry grasses and acalyam.
It is noted that 8 people from the Forest Department with 2 fire engines and 9 people from the Fire Service with 5 fire engines tried to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
