The Municipality of Larnaca signed a contract on Monday for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of a "smart" parking access and management system, which will cost over 600 thousand euros.

A statement from the Municipality of Larnaca states that "the contract was signed at the Municipality offices by Mayor Andreas Vyras and the Legal Representative of the company YTM STAVRIDES LTD, Marios Stavridis."

The new system "will include advanced management software, allowing easy and efficient management of parking spaces, application of dynamic pricing, as well as special arrangements for special groups of visitors. By adopting the ticketless system, the Municipality of Larnaca aims to increase the efficiency and ease of use of public parking spaces."

At the same time, "through a special mobile application, citizens will be able to be informed in real time about the availability of parking spaces, making the parking experience faster and more enjoyable. The system's communication will be secure and its operation will be smooth and in real time in all connected parking spaces."

The total value of the contract "amounts to 599 thousand euros plus VAT, with a maintenance rate of 7% on receipts. The contract was awarded following a call for tenders and the company YTM STAVRIDES LTD was selected as the most advantageous offer based on cost."
