The government will take new measures to deal with punctuality, after the approval of the 2024 state budget, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos told RIK.

As reported by riknews.com.cy, as a guest on the RIK program "Day by Day", the Minister of Finance reiterated that his ministry also does not rule out the resumption of fuel tax and electricity subsidies.

Asked to comment on the fact that fourteen trade unions are requesting a meeting with the President of the Republic on the issues of accuracy and inflation, Mr. Keravnos called on everyone to be very careful with the issues of the economy.

He added that from 2024 to 2030 the government must start repaying the European Commission the six and a half billion euros it borrowed during the pandemic.
