The Police are investigating a case of premeditated murder, following the findings of the autopsy carried out on the body of a 31-year-old man, who died on 28/9/2025, after falling from a balcony, in Limassol.
The autopsy was conducted yesterday by forensic doctors Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxo Orthodoxo. According to their findings, the body had penetrating injuries to the abdomen, which are not consistent with a fall from a height.
Following this development, as part of the investigation of the case, investigators from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department proceeded to issue an arrest warrant against a 26-year-old woman, who was arrested and taken into custody to facilitate the interrogations.
Gerome Zarate De Castro, 31, from the Philippines, was found injured at around 1am last Sunday outside the apartment building where he lived in Limassol. He was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
According to initial information collected by the Police, the 31-year-old allegedly fell from the balcony of his apartment, which is approximately six meters high.
The 26-year-old is expected to be brought before the Limassol District Court later today, for the issuance of a detention order.
TAE Limassol continues the examinations.
