In order to repair the damage caused to water heaters more quickly, without affecting the daily lives of citizens, affected citizens can proceed with repairing the damage and then submit the attached forms, completed and accompanied by photographs of the damage and its repair, to the District Administrations by Friday, March 14, the Ministry of Interior announced.
In a more recent announcement on the matter, it is stated that for the convenience of citizens and a more immediate resolution of the problem, the Ministry calls on the owners of the residences to proceed with repairing the damage without first waiting for an on-site inspection by a representative of the District Administrations.
Subsequently, the affected owners must complete the relevant form posted on the website of the Ministry of Interior and the District Administrations and deliver it to the relevant District Administrations by Friday, March 14.
In the form, among other things, the owner must fill in his/her details (name, ID number, address, telephone number) and attach photographs of the water heater, showing the damage it suffered and the repair of the damage.
Also attach a description of the work by the plumber, as well as the invoices paid for the repair, the completed FIMAS authorization form, a copy of the IBAN, a statement by the owner that the information included in the application is true, a statement by the owner that he does not have insurance that covers the specific damage suffered by the water heater, etc.
