Thanks to four pressure sensors and an accelerometer, the shoes will record the distance, the number of steps and the height of the athlete's jumps. In this way, they will provide him with a better and more detailed picture of his progress during a basketball game or his daily training in the gym.
Nike+ technology will initially be available in James LeBron's Nike Hypedunk+ line of shoes. Players will be able to compare their performance with that of their teammates (eg who is faster, who jumps higher, who gets more tired mid-game) and also track their progress compared to previous matches.
Among other things, thanks to the "showcase" function, they will even be able to record videos of their best moments and share them with their friends after the match.
On the fitness front, Nike+ technology will also be incorporated into the Lunar TR 1+ and Lunar Hyperworkout+ ranges for men and women respectively, providing useful information for leg-related exercises. The apps and shoes are expected to launch simultaneously on June 29.
