Two employees of the authority that manages Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport have been arrested for allegedly being involved in the leak of video of the mid-air collision of an American Airlines passenger plane with a military Black Hawk helicopter last week.
Employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) are accused of making an unauthorized copy of records.
These are videos obtained by CNN last week that offered new perspectives on the crash over the Potomac River, ABC News reported.
Exclusive footage provided a closer look at the air disaster, including a clip showing the helicopter moving at high speed as the American Airlines flight approached the airport. A second short clip shows the Black Hawk, which was carrying three soldiers, and the Bombardier CRJ700 heading toward each other before the two collided and exploded. Both videos were captured on cellphones, CNN reported Friday.
It is recalled that 29 people lost their lives in the collision on Wednesday night (1/67) between a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines passenger plane.
