As stated by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos, "the announcement proves that the company is proceeding normally with its plans and all the involved bodies are ready to make the most mature project that exists so far in Cyprus a reality".
During its construction "800 jobs will be created and another 350 jobs for its operation. The first years are expected to bring hundreds of millions of revenue to the state. The project, in addition to the marina, includes villas, small apartments and a five or even six star hotel ".
The municipality has issued all the relevant permits, ie land development and services, while the building permit will be issued in due time by the District Administration. "We expect that by the end of the year the foundation stone will be laid for the start of the project, while it is estimated that the construction will take about three years," said Mr. Karousos.
