On June 9, 2024, we will be called upon to elect the six representatives of the Republic of Cyprus in the next European Parliament. In this electoral process, all the citizens of the Republic have the right to vote and be elected equally.
Based on subsection (1A) of article 9 of the Law on the Election of Members of the European Parliament, 103.269 thousand Turkish Cypriots, who are over 18 years of age, obtained the new type of identity card of the Republic and have a declared address in the population record system, in the areas where the Government of the Republic does not exercise effective control, they have been included in the special electoral list of the European elections.

We also look forward to your participation in this electoral process of choosing the representatives of the Republic of Cyprus in the European Parliament. It is also in your hands that the representation of Cyprus in the new European Parliament results from the joint election of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
For this reason, make sure to exercise your electoral rights by coming to one of the special election centers that will operate for this purpose, near the crossing points, in Kato Pyrgos Tyllerias, Flasos, Astromeritis, Agios Dometios, Ledra Palas , in Ledras Street, Xylotymbou, Acheritou and Deryneia.
