April 2nd is the last day to submit an application for registration on the electoral roll for the Parliamentary Elections of May 24, 2026, in which all citizens of the Republic aged 18 years and over, who have had their usual residence in Cyprus for the last six months, have the right to vote.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior states that "no new registration and/or change can be made to the electoral roll and therefore, new voters are invited to submit their application in a timely manner."
It clarifies that "young people who turn 18 by the date of the Elections also have the right to register on the electoral roll, provided that the application for registration will be submitted within the framework of the last quarterly review of the electoral roll before the elections, that is, from January 3, 2026 until April 2, 2026."
Additionally, Turkish Cypriot holders of an identity card of the Republic of Cyprus with an address in the free areas also have the right to register on the electoral roll.
For those up to 25 years of age, applications can also be submitted electronically, through the Elections website at elections.gov.cy.
Paper applications are submitted to the local District Administration Offices, the Citizen Service Centers (KEP) and the Citizen Centers (KE.PO.) of the Cyprus Post Offices. Application forms can be obtained from the above points, the Ministry of Interior and the elections website.
