The first shipment from the Republic of Cyprus of aid in medicines and consumables left by air for Lebanon on Friday morning, while a second shipment is expected to depart on Saturday, KYPE informs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health, it is sending almost three tons of medicines and consumables to Lebanon after informing the Lebanese authorities about the serious needs of the neighboring country's medical system.

The aid, according to information from KYPE, will be sent in two missions, on Friday and Saturday.

The first shipment was sent by flight to Lebanon on Friday morning, while the second shipment is expected to be transferred on Saturday morning, according to the same information.
