The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, exercising the powers granted to him by the Constitution, decided to make changes in the composition of the members of the government.
The changes are as follows:
Mr. Vassilis Palmas is appointed Minister of Defense
Mrs. Maria Panagiotou is appointed Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment
Mr. Marios Hartsiotis is appointed Minister of Justice and Public Order
Mr. Michalis Damianos is appointed Minister of Health
Mr. Nikodimos Damianou is appointed Deputy Minister of Innovation, Research and Digital Policy
Mrs. Marilena Rauna is appointed Deputy Minister of European Affairs
Mr. Panagiotis Palates is appointed Citizen Commissioner
Mr. Charalambos Christofinas is appointed Commissioner of Mountainous Areas
Ms. Antonia Theodosiou is appointed Commissioner of the Environment
The confirmation and assumption of duties of the new ministers and government officials will take place and will be effective from Wednesday, January 10, 2023.
The President of the Republic states in his announcement that "he wishes to express his warm thanks for the work accomplished by the outgoing ministers and for the cordial cooperation between them".
