Government spokesman Nikos Christodoulidis, speaking on RIK's show "From Day to Day", stressed that the issue of the role of the Security Council in the Cyprus issue will be addressed in tomorrow's meeting between President Anastasiadis and Russian President Vladimir Putin, following a request. of Moscow.

 The presence of all five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council in a new Conference on Cyprus is necessary.
 He pointed out that the participation of all five permanent members of the Security Council stems from the need for good preparation of a new Conference, so that it is possible to reach a positive result.
 The Cyprus issue, he said, concerns the Security Council, since based on the position of the Greek Cypriot side, the House must have a role in monitoring the implementation of the solution.
 According to Mr. Christodoulidis, in tomorrow's Anastasiadis-Putin meeting, in addition to the Cyprus issue, the issue of European Union-Russia relations will be discussed.
 The Government Spokesman also stressed that Moscow is showing strong interest in the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean in relation to the issue of hydrocarbons.
 Asked to comment on information that the Government intends to submit to the UN, coordinates for the definition of EEZs in the northern part of Cyprus, Mr. Christodoulidis declined to confirm or deny them, stressing that for very important issues public statements. The Government, said Mr. Christodoulidis, takes decisions to serve the interests of the Republic of Cyprus, without drumbeats.
