Former Mayor of Kyrenia and Minister Stelios Katsellis passed away

Stelios Katsellis from Kyrenia, former Mayor of Kyrenia and former Minister of Defense and Education, passed away yesterday, Monday, January 1, 2018, at the age of 86.

In a statement, DIKO states that the deceased was an executive since the founding of the party, served as Mayor of Kyrenia and Minister of Defense and Education in the governments of the late President, Spyros Kyprianou. His contribution to the place, as a holder of public office, was valuable. Dikos adds that Stelios Katsellis was above all from Keryni and left with the misery of occupied Kyrenia.

His funeral will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from the Church of Apostle Andreas in Strovolos (corner of Stavrou Avenue and Agiou Andreou Street)
at 12:00 noon.
Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery of Agios Nikolaos in Limassol.

The family will receive condolences at the church of Apostolos Andreas from 11:00 a.m.

Request of the family instead of wreaths to make contributions to the Social Welfare Fund of the Municipality of Kyrenia.
