The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, stated on Friday that he is completely satisfied with the results of the meetings he had in the United States, noting that the effort to attract investments will continue in a targeted manner in other countries.
During his arrival at the Stelios Bi-Communal Business Cooperation Awards of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, and answering questions from journalists regarding the assessment of his recent trip to the United States, in relation to “titles” that it has not performed to the extent he would like, President Christodoulides stated that “the visit yielded concrete results”. As he said, “these results have already been announced and I am particularly pleased because our contacts in the three states showed increased interest in investments in our country”.
"And because I hear some people in relation to the timing of the trip, let me say - and there were others with me who accompanied me - what we heard from those we had met. That the time frame, taking into account the announcements made by the American side, was favorable precisely for discussing the issue of American investments outside the United States," he said.
"I am completely satisfied with the results," emphasized President Christodoulides, adding that decisions on investments in Cyprus have already been announced and there will be more announcements in the immediate future.
He added that this effort will continue in a targeted manner with other countries "where we see a particularly increased interest."
